Whelan Media Strategies “Goes To Bat” For Minor League Umpires

August 7, 2007, Albany, NY ---- The Association of Minor League Umpires (AMLU), the labor union representing over 200 minor league baseball umpires, has selected Whelan Media Strategies as its strategic communications advisor. Whelan Media Strategies will provide a full range of services, including media representation, public relations and internal/external communications consultation.

Based in Andover, MA, the AMLU has been in the news recently as Major League Baseball (MLB) announced they were requiring umpires, in both the major and minor leagues, to undergo financial background investigations.
